
Emmanuel Bofa earned the first title in
school history in the men's 800-meter run for Whitworth
University (Wash.) on Saturday (May 24) at the NCAA Division
III Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
Bofa's time of 1:51.01 bested second-place
University of Wisconsin-Superior Matt Kramer's mark of 1:51.29.
Nazareth College's (N.Y.) Nick Stenuf came in third-place
at 1:51.62, while defending champion Jimmy O'Brien from
Ohio Northern University took fourth-place at 1:52.09.
Brian Leiter of Frostburg State University
(Md.) came in fifth-place with a time of 1:52.48, followed
by Zach Brush from Trinity University (Texas) at 1:52.59
in the sixth-position.
Other All-Americans included seventh-place
Mike Fox from Rutgers-Camden University (N.J.) with a time
of 1:52.60 and Wartburg College's (Iowa) Jake Hommer in
eighth-place at 1:52.70.
