
Kamar James brought home the first triple
jump title in Fisk University (Tenn.) history when he won
the men's triple jump on Saturday (May 24) with a mark of
48-11 3/4 at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championship.
Messiah College's (Pa.) Nick Kipe came in second place with
a leap of 48-10.
James Simms of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh
took third place with a jump of 48-7 1/4, while University
of Dubuque's (Iowa) Anthony Jenkins grabbed fourth place
at 48-0 1/2.
Fifth place went to Pete Charles of Lehman
College (N.Y.) with a mark of 48-0 and sixth place to Christopher
Newport University's (Va.) Isaac Bell at 47-6 1/2.
Rounding out the top eight were seventh-place
Eric Buss from St. John's University (Minn.) with a leap
of 47-6 1/2 and Chaz Thomas of Haverford College (Pa.) in
the eighth position with a jump of 47-5 1/4.
