Women's 1,600-Meter Relay |

The drama of the team championship at the 2008 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships came right down to the last event.
Illinois Wesleyan University senior Rachel Anderson needed every bit of her anchor leg to help the Titans get sixth place in the event and tie UW-River Falls for the team championship with 35 points.
Wartburg College (Iowa), also a
key factor in the team race throughout the weekend,
successfully defended its event title behind a solid
anchor leg from sophomore Hannah Baker, a two-time
All-American during the weekend, with a winning
time of 3:45.72, a NCAA Division III season's best.
The Knights' event title put them third in the team
race with 34 points.
Texas Lutheran University made a
strong bid for the top spot, ending second in 3:45.87.
Wheaton College (Mass.) was third at 3:46.31, while
The College of New Jersey (fourth-3:46.44) and Calvin
College (Mich.) (fifth-3:46.73) rounded out the
top five.
