We are looking forward to the UW-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational this Saturday. It has developed into a great meet and this year is no different.

We have teams from seven states with many of the top ranked schools in the country. The number one ranked teams in the country will be here, North Central College (Ill.) for the men and Calvin College (Mich.) for the women.

As of the latest poll, there are another five teams for both men and women that are ranked in the top 35 in the country. UW-Oshkosh women and men are currently ranked 12th and 14th in the country.

Our guys did not race last weekend and are anxious to race at home.

We need to get a good feel for the course because we will host the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional, our national qualifying meet, on Nov. 14.

We had a very good opener, winning the Carroll University Invitational with a near perfect 16 points. The guys did a great job of following our race plan. We wanted to get out under control and attack the second half of the race. We did that very well which is a good sign for the future. Our young guys did a nice job of making the transition from high school to college for their first race effort. Each week we will fine tune things in preparation for the championships meets in late October and November.

We are looking forward to the first meet hosted by Carroll University. The guys are anxious to compete as a team. Our primary goal for the meet is to get a starting point for everyone. Let's see where we are now so we can more specifically design our training.
