Four-time All-Americans Dave Lambert and Scott Steuernagel earned spots on the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) All-Time Men’s Cross Country Team. The league selected 15 runners for its centennial anniversary celebration.

The duo of Lambert (1988-91) and Steuernagel (1987-90) led UW-Oshkosh to three straight NCAA Division III Championships from 1988-90. Steuernagel won the WIAC individual title during 1989 and 1990, while Lambert grabbed the crown in 1991. The Titans took the team conference championship in both 1989 and 1990.

Lambert placed 25th at the national championship during his freshman year. In his sophomore campaign, he finished third at the WIAC Championship and 11th at the NCAA Division III race. Lambert again placed third at the league meet during 1990, before posting a third-place result in his final effort at the 1991 national championship.

Steuernagel improved his national standing every year. He crossed the line 18th at the NCAA Division III Championship in 1987 before taking ninth the following season. Additional teams will be released on a weekly basis throughout much of the 2011-12 academic year.

All-time team members will receive certificates from the conference and it is hoped that most, if not all, of the recipients will be in attendance or represented at the WIAC Centennial Banquet in Madison on Aug. 4, 2012.
