Delzer, Ludtke Surpass Titans' Hammer Throw Record
 Both Pete Delzer (Jr. • Oconto Falls) and Ben Ludtke (Sr. • Lyons) eclipsed the UW-Oshkosh hammer throw record during a pair of final qualifier meets on Thursday (May 17) in La Crosse and Friday (May 18) in Oshkosh.
At the Oshkosh meet, Delzer launched the hammer 206-5 to break a mark he set earlier in the season. Delzer’s throw was the best in the NCAA Division III, while Ludtke posted a 203-2 to rank third nationally.
The other three event winners in Oshkosh were Nick Baatz (Jr. • Brownsville), Jeremy Roach (Sr. • Deerfield) and Mike Servais (Fr. • New Franken). Baatz recorded a shot put distance of 57-5 1/2. At his final collegiate competition, Roach fired the javelin 163-7 for his victory. Servais later ran a 50.08 to take the 400-meter dash.
Alan German (Sr. • West Bend) booked the second-place long jump in both La Crosse (23-8 3/4) and Oshkosh (23-8). The Titans’ other second-place finishes came from Delzer’s shot put of 53-4 1/2 and Ryan Gregory’s 400-meter dash in 50.29.
In the La Crosse meet, Corey Wilch (So. • Waukesha) won the 400-meter hurdles at 52.28, which is the fifth-fastest time in the nation this year.
Third-place performances were provided by Donald Klitz (Jr. • Markesan) and Reid Zanoya (Fr. • Monticello). Klitz owned the top high jump at 6-9, but finished third after the tiebreaker. Zanoya clocked a 48.58 for third in the 400-meter dash.
UW-Oshkosh will send selected athletes to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championship next weekend (May 24-26) in Claremont, Calif. |
Three Titans Victorious At Open Meets
 John Cejka (Jr. • Wausau) beat 59 other men in the 400-meter dash as UW-Oshkosh competed in a pair of track & field meets on Friday (May 11). Titans took part in the Dr. Keeler Open (Naperville, Ill.) and the UW-La Crosse Open.
At the Keeler Open, Cejka ran a 47.89 for first place in the 400 meters. His time ranks 10th in the nation this year.
UW-Oshkosh posted two victories at the UW-La Crosse Open. Nick Baatz (Jr. • Brownsville) triumphed in the shot put with a 57-7 1/2. Donald Klitz (Jr. • Markesan) then tied for first in the high jump at 6-6 1/4.
Throwers accounted for more strong finishes in La Crosse. Pete Delzer (Jr. • Oconto Falls) placed second in the hammer throw (199-7), fourth in the shot put (52-4 3/4) and fifth in the discus (160-11). Ben Ludtke (Sr. • Lyons) added a third-place mark in the hammer throw at 196-6, while Baatz came in fourth with his discus of 165-8.
The Titans ran well at the Keeler Open track events. In the 400-meter relay, UW-Oshkosh listed second at 41.54. Corey Wilch (So. • Waukesha) also gained third place in the 400-meter hurdles (53.04) and Reid Zanoya (Fr. • Monticello) earned fourth in the 400-meter dash at 48.40.

Baatz Honored For Performance At WIAC Outdoor Championship
UW-Oshkosh's Nick Baatz (Jr. • Brownsville) was named the Field Performer of the Meet for his two victories at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship held May 4-5 in Whitewater. The award was determined by a vote of the league's nine head coaches.
Baatz took first place in both the discus and shot put with distances of 178-11 and 59-2, respectively. His measurement in the shot put established a school record. Baatz also finished seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 179-9.
Earlier this outdoor season, Baatz set another school record with his distance of 182-2 in the discus at the Jeff Miller Drake Alternative Meet.
UW-Eau Claire's Thurgood Dennis was selected as the Track Performer of the Meet. UW-La Crosse's Josh Bucholtz was chosen as the league's Coach of the Year for the fourth straight season.
UW-La Crosse scored 163 points to win the WIAC outdoor title for the 22nd consecutive year. UW-Oshkosh tallied 160 points on the strength of 17 top-four finishes, including four first-place efforts. |

Tyler Morey (Combined Locks) and Brittany Walder (Waukesha) have been named the 2012 winners of the UW-Oshkosh John Taylor Scholar-Athlete Award. The awards were presented at the UW-Oshkosh Hall of Fame & Senior Awards Banquet held Sunday (May 6).
The John Taylor Scholar-Athlete Award is presented annually to the outstanding male and female senior student-athlete who owns a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or higher. The award reflects not only individual athletic achievements, but also the ideals of team contribution, scholastic endeavor and school and community involvement.
Morey has competed in men's cross country and track and field for the Titans since graduating from Clemson University (S.C.) in 2010. At UW-Oshkosh, Morey owns a 3.72 cumulative grade-point average while pursuing a master's degree in business administration. A member of Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society, he is also involved with Athletes in Action and Campus Crusade for Christ.
Last fall, Morey earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship with his 32nd-place time of 24:43. At the WIAC Cross Country Championship, he placed seventh with a time of 25:07 to help UW-Oshkosh to the team title.
Morey is a two-time letter winner in track and field. He placed third in both the 3,000-meter run at the 2012 WIAC Indoor Championship and the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2011 WIAC Outdoor Championship. Morey finished 11th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2011 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship.
A double major in elementary and special education, Walder holds a 3.46 cumulative grade-point average. She studied abroad in Australia in 2001 and is a member of the Student Council for Exceptional Children. Walder has been a volunteer for the Special Olympics and a coach in youth soccer camps.
Walder received All-WIAC first team honors in 2011 after helping the Titans reach the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship. Walder played 1,590 minutes as UW-Oshkosh's goalkeeper and compiled 97 saves with a 0.91 goals against average. The four-year letter winner tallied 300 saves, 13 shutouts and a 1.41 goals against average during her 63-game career. Walder's 5,362 career minutes as a guard for the UW-Oshkosh goal are the most in school history.

Eagles Nip Titans For WIAC Outdoor Title
   Nick Baatz (Jr. • Brownsville) won two throwing events and placed seventh in another as UW-Oshkosh finished second at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship held Friday and Saturday (May 4-5) in Whitewater.
UW-La Crosse scored 163 points to win the nine-team meet for the 22nd consecutive year. The Eagles owned the winner in four categories, including the 1,600-meter relay which was the final event of the meet.
UW-Oshkosh tallied 160 points on the strength of 17 top-four finishes, including four first-place efforts. The Titans have placed second at the meet the past three seasons.
UW-Whitewater finished third in the team standings with 135 points, while UW-Eau Claire placed fourth with 112, UW-Stout fifth with 75, UW-Platteville sixth with 74, UW-River Falls seventh with 68, UW-Stevens Point eighth with 60 and UW-Superior ninth with 10.
Baatz took first place in both the discus and shot put with distances of 178-11 and 59-2, respectively. His measurement in the shot put established a school record. Baatz also finished seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 179-9.

UW-Oshkosh's other event champion was Corey Wilch (So. • Waukesha), who won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.05 seconds. Wilch also finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.92 seconds and ran on the Titans' second-place 1,600-meter relay team that posted an effort of 3:12.75. Other members of that relay squad were Brian Beaudo (Fr. • Fort Atkinson), John Cejka (Jr. • Wausau) and Reid Zanoya (Fr. • Monticello).
Donald Klitz (Jr. • Markesan) contributed a pair of second-place jumps for the Titans. He leaped to a distance of 48-6 1/4 in the triple jump and to a height of 6-8 in the high jump. Other UW-Oshkosh competitors finishing second were Jordan Carpenter (Fr. • Ashwaubenon) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:23.74, John Dewitt (Jr. • Oshkosh) in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 31:11.59, Alan German (Sr. • West Bend) in the javelin with a distance of 178-5 and Matt Lawrence (So. • Plainfield, Ill.) in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.66. German also placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 23-7 1/2.
Other top-four finishes went to the Titans' Cejka, and Ben Ludtke (Sr. • Lyons). Cejka placed third in the 400-meter run with a time of 48.08 seconds while Ludtke ranked fourth in the hammer throw with a distance of 190-3.

Relay Squads Place 5th, 18th At Drake Relays
Reid Zanoya (Fr. • Monticello) anchored UW-Oshkosh's 1,600-meter relay team that established a school record with their fifth-place performance at the Drake Relays held this past weekend (April 26-28) in Des Moines, Iowa.
Zanoya and teammates Brian Beaudo (Fr. • Fort Atkinson), John Cejka (Jr. • Wausau), Corey Wilch (So. • Waukesha) ran to a time of 3:12.65 in the College Division of the 1,600-meter relay. The quartet's effort broke a UW-Oshkosh record that was set in 1984 by Dan O'Hearn, Ken Ramirez, Todd Resler and Neil Taylor.
UW-Eau Claire won the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 3:10.75, while Lincoln University (Mo.) finished second in 3:11.31, North Central College (Ill.) third in 3:11.65 and UW-La Crosse fourth in 3:11.96. The event featured 29 teams.
UW-Oshkosh also had its 400-meter relay team place 18th in the men's track and field meet with a time of 42.56 seconds. Members of the group were Quentin Badger (So. • Madison), Alex DeWitt (Jr. • Howard), Ryan Sprenger (So. • Larsen) and Collin Worm (Fr. • Menasha). Lincoln University won the event with a time of 39.57, while Doane College (Neb.) placed second among the 28 competing teams with a mark of 40.78 and UW-Whitewater third in 41.04.

Lawrence Wins 800-Meter Run At Gina Relays
UW-Oshkosh's Matt Lawrence (So. • Plainfield, Ill.) defeated 63 other contestants to win the 800-meter run title at the Gina Relays held this past weekend (April 26-28) in Hillsdale, Mich.
Lawrence completed the 800-meter race in a time of 1:53.21, while Colin Pettiford of Kent State University (Ohio) finished second in 1:53.49. Kyle Allinder of Macomb Community College (Ill.) placed third with a time of 1:54.06, Brett DeNure (Jr. • Monroe) of UW-Oshkosh fourth in 1:54.12 and Benny Swift of St. Norbert College fifth in 1:54.34.
The Titans were also represented in the men's track and field meet by John Dewitt (Jr. • Oshkosh) and Tyler Morey (Sr. • Combined Locks).
Dewitt finished seventh in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 30:14.30. Nathan Martin, running unattached, won the event of 30 participants with a time of 29:36.65. Devin Monson of Hamline University (Minn.) placed second with a time of 29:37.13 and Dan Kerr of Calvin College (Mich.) third in 29:42.36.
Morey ranked 10th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:09.25. James Zeuch of the Brooks Track Club won the race with a time of 8:55.51, while Chris Dulhanty of the Guelph Track Club placed second in 8:59.17. The event featured 27 runners.

Throwers Shine At Jeff Miller Non-Scoring Meet
  Nick Baatz (Jr. • Brownsville) broke the discus school record to highlight UW-Oshkosh’s throwing dominance at the Jeff Miller Drake Alternative Meet on Saturday (April 28) in Whitewater. No team scores were kept.
The Titans owned three of the top-four finishers in both the hammer throw and shot put. Baatz captured the shot put gold with his toss of 55-8 1/4. Jeremy Brandt (So. • Wausau) followed in third place at 50-9 1/4 and Nick Grosskopf (Fr. • Weston) fourth at 50-2 1/2.
Ben Ludtke (Sr. • Lyons) won the hammer throw with a distance of 189-6. UW-Oshkosh added strong finishes of second (178-10) from Baatz and fourth (167-4) from Joe Brunner (So. • Reedsville). Baatz concluded his spectacular day with a second-place discus mark of 182-2, breaking the Titan record from 2003.
UW-Oshkosh had three other event winners. Alan German (Sr. • West Bend) cleared 21-3 1/2 in the long jump, while Dan Groshan (So. • Janesville) took the 200-meter dash in 23.48. Derek Johnsrud (So. • Fall River) clocked a 15:32.38 in the 5,000-meter run for first place.
Mike Servais (Fr. • New Franken) attained second-place results in both the 200 (23.70) and 400-meter (51.12) dashes. The other runner-up finish came from Kris Wilke (Sr. • Waterloo) and his 400-meter hurdles time of 55.43.
With the pole vault, Jake Dickmann (Jr. • Kewaskum) and Tom O'Connor (Sr. • Clintonville) tied for third place at 14-7 1/2. Jordan Carpenter (Fr. • Ashwaubenon) also came in third with a 4:06.37 in the 1,500-meter run.

Titans To Run At Prestigious Drake Relays
UW-Oshkosh will be represented in two men’s and two women’s running events at the 103rd Annual Drake Relays this weekend in Des Moines, Iowa.
Nearly
7,000 athletes from all over the United States are expected to participate in the prestigious track and field meet. The University and College divisions feature 1,450 male participants and 1,289 female contestants.
UW-Oshkosh's first competitor in this year's Drake Relays is Christy Cazzola (Jr. • Kaukauna). She will participate in the final of the unseeded University/College Division 800-meter run at 4 p.m. on Thursday (April 26).
UW-Oshkosh has preliminary races in the College Division 400- and 1,600-meter relays Friday (April 27) morning.
Women running for the Titans at 8:58 a.m. in the 400-meter relay are Samantha Blue (Fr. • Kimberly), Lisha Hanson (Sr. • Clintonville), Cassandra Hemmen (Fr. • Appleton) and Brittni Wirtz (Fr. • Sobieski). The men's 400-meter relay begins at 9:17 a.m. It includes UW-Oshkosh runners Quentin Badger (So. • Madison), Alex DeWitt (Jr. • Howard), Ryan Sprenger (So. • Larsen) and Collin Worm (Fr. • Menasha). The final is scheduled for Saturday (April 28), 4:32 p.m. for the women and 4:37 p.m. for the men.

German Scores Two Of Titans' Four Victories
  Alan German (Sr. • West Bend) took first in both the 110-meter hurdles and javelin at the Phil Esten Men’s Track & Field Challenge on Friday (April 20) in La Crosse.
UW-La Crosse won the 10-team meet with 222 points, while UW-Oshkosh took second at 170.5. UW-Eau Claire listed third at 130.5, while UW-Stout came in fourth with 83 and UW-River Falls fifth with 67.
The Titans excelled in the short track events, including German’s winning 110-meter hurdles time of 14.95. He later threw the javelin 169 feet for another victory.
Corey Wilch (So. • Waukesha) booked a win with his 53.13 in the 400-meter hurdles. UW-Oshkosh’s last triumph came from Donald Klitz (Jr. • Markesan), who cleared 6-6 3/4 in the high jump.
Nick Baatz (Jr. • Brownsville), who scored 21 points, and Ryan Sprenger (So. • Larsen), who tallied 14, also made big contributions. Baatz finished second in both the discus (166-7) and shot put (56-9 1/4) while listing fourth in the hammer throw (182-6). Sprenger earned second place in the 100-meter dash at 10.90 and third in the 200-meter dash at 22.19.
Also in the 200-meter dash, Quentin Badger (So. • Madison) took second with his 22.12. Kris Wilke (Sr. • Waterloo) obtained the other runner-up finish with a 400-meter hurdles mark of 56.20. UW-Oshkosh also crossed the line second in the 400-meter relay at 42.18.
Pete Delzer (Jr. • Oconto Falls) and Ben Ludtke (Sr. • Lyons) finished 2-3 in the hammer throw, posting distances of 187-0 and 186-10, respectively. Other third-place results came from John Cejka (Jr. • Wausau) in the 400-meter dash at 48.52, Jordan Carpenter (Fr. • Ashwaubenon) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 9:36.29 and Jeremy Roach (Sr. • Deerfield) with his javelin toss of 166-2.
UW-Oshkosh will send athletes to the Drake Relays (Iowa) and Gina Relays (Mich.) on Thursday-Saturday (April 26-28).

Former Titan Is Top Wisconsin Female Finisher At Boston Marathon
  Former UW-Oshkosh national champion Tiffany (Speckman) Ebensperger was the top finisher among Wisconsin women at the 116th Boston Marathon held Monday (April 16) in Boston, Mass.
Ebensperger finished with a time of 3 hours, 24 minutes and 29 seconds in the 26.2-mile challenge. That performance placed her 228th in the overall women’s standings. The race featured 80-degree temperatures and a total of 22,426 participants.
Ebensperger competed for the UW-Oshkosh women's cross country and track and field teams from 1994-98. The Juda High School graduate took first place at the 1997 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship, while winning the 5,000-meter run at the 1998 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship.
In addition to Ebensperger, UW-Oshkosh cross country and track and field alumnae Rachel (Milligan) Paape and Stephanie (Speckman) Ross also completed the Boston Marathon. Paape took 354th place with a time of 3:28.27, while Ross finished 7,006th in 4:59.05.
Three men with UW-Oshkosh ties were in the field as well. Former cross country and track and field athletes Eamon McKenna placed 339th with a time of 2:55.17 and Ted Shue 3,419th in 3:37.34. Former UW-Oshkosh head men's cross country and track and field coach John Zupanc finished 9,941st in 4:46.28.
Wesley Koirr of Kenya crossed the finish line first with a time of 2:12.40. The women's title went to Sharon Cherop of Kenya after she finished in 2:31.50. |
Titans Place Second At UW-Platteville Invitational
  Nick Baatz (Jr. • Brownsville) scored a trio of top-four finishes to give UW-Oshkosh second place at the UW-Platteville Men’s Track and Field Invitational on Saturday (April 14).
The 11-team standings featured UW-La Crosse at the top with 138 points and the Titans in second with 126.5. UW-Whitewater listed third at 103, while UW-Eau Claire and the University of Wisconsin tied for fourth place at 72.
Baatz won the shot put by less than two inches with his mark of 57-2 3/4. That is the fourth-longest throw in the NCAA Division III this year. He then grabbed the third position with the discus at 170-0 and fourth place in the hammer throw at 180-2.
Corey Wilch (So. • Waukesha) was the other Titan to win an event, taking the 400-meter hurdles with his time of 53.07. Wilch’s time is the sixth-fastest in the nation this season. UW-Oshkosh’s 1,600-meter relay, consisting of Wilch, Brian Beaudo (Fr. • Fort Atkinson), John Cejka (Jr. • Wausau) and Reid Zanoya (Fr. • Monticello), also earned second place with a 3:15.05.
In the hammer throw, Pete Delzer (Jr. • Oconto Falls) captured second and Ben Ludtke (Sr. • Lyons) third. Delzer’s distance of 191-2 and Ludtke’s 188-4 were just ahead of Baatz. Delzer contributed another strong throw when he listed third in the shot put at 55-2 3/4.
Alan German (Sr. • West Bend) hurled the javelin 195-11 for a second-place ranking, while Matt Lawrence (So. • Plainfield, Ill.) ran a 1:52.98 in the 800-meter for third. German then used 15.17 to take fourth in the 110-meter hurdles.
The Titans had four other finishes of fourth. Jordan Carpenter (Fr. • Ashwaubenon) completed the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:42.35, as John Dewitt (Jr. • Oshkosh) needed 14:49.14 for the 5,000-meter run. Donald Klitz (Jr. • Markesan) then posted a high jump of 6-4 3/4 and Ken Halloran (So. • Mt. Prospect, Ill.) a 1,500-meter time of 4:02.48.

Baatz, Delzer, Wilch Excel In Titan Victory
  Nick Baatz (Jr. • Brownsville) and Corey Wilch (So. • Waukesha) each won two events as UW-Oshkosh captured its Men’s Track and Field Open on April 7 at the Oshkosh Sports Complex.
The Titans accumulated 324 points to pace the team standings, while NCAA Division II Michigan Tech earned second place at 178. Ripon College listed third with 88 points and UW-Parkside fourth with 79 in the six-team event.
UW-Oshkosh prevailed in all four throwing events, including discus and shot put victories by Baatz. His shot put of 56-2 1/2 ranks fourth in the nation this year. Following Baatz were teammates Pete Delzer (Jr. • Oconto Falls) in second at 54-10 and Jeremy Brandt (So. • Wausau) in third at 50-4 1/2.
Baatz topped the field as Titans placed 1-7 in the discus. With his mark of 172-4, Baatz surpassed Delzer’s second-place score of 153-6 and Scott Heinz’s (Fr. • Shawano) third-place 150-0.
Wilch gained his triumphs in the hurdles races, clocking a 15.13 at 110 meters and a 54.29 at 400 meters. The other track wins came from John Dewitt (Jr. • Oshkosh) in the 3,000-meter run at 8:51.23 and Ken Halloran (So. • Mt. Prospect, Ill.) in the 1,500-meter at 4:06.79.
On the field, Donald Klitz (Jr. • Markesan) took first in the triple jump with his 47-9 1/4. Cesar Raygoza (Sr. • Sheboygan) then won the pole vault at 14-1 1/4 and Alan German (Sr. • West Bend) the javelin throw at 182-10. UW-Oshkosh also had Jeremy Roach (Sr. • Deerfield) take second (170-8) with the javelin and Klitz third (169-7).
Coming within nine inches of his school record from last week, Delzer won the hammer throw with a 200-0. The final individual victory came from Reid Zanoya (Fr. • Monticello), who timed a 48.28 in the 400-meter run. The Titans also placed first in both the 400-meter (42.26) and 1,600-meter (3:25.31) relays.
John Cejka (Jr. • Wausau) was right behind Zanoya in the 400-meter, taking second with his 48.48. Other second-place finishes came from Quentin Badger (So. • Madison) in the 200-meter dash at 21.97, Jake Dickmann (Jr. • Kewaskum) in the pole vault at 14-1 1/4, Ben Ludtke (Sr. • Lyons) with his hammer throw of 193-3 and Jason Ulman (Jr. • Appleton) with a high jump of 6-2 3/4.

Delzer Named WIAC Field Athlete Of The Week
The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) selected UW-Oshkosh's Pete Delzer (Jr. • Oconto Falls) as one of its two Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week award winners.
Delzer received the league's top field award for outdoor meets held March 26 - April 1. Tim Nelson of UW-Stout was chosen as the conference's top track performer.
Delzer won the hammer throw, finished second in the shot put and placed fourth in the discus at the UW-Oshkosh Open held March 31 at the Oshkosh Sports Complex.
Delzer defeated 11 other contestants in the hammer throw with his school-record measurement of 200-9. UW-Oshkosh teammate Nick Baatz (Jr. • Brownsville) placed second in the event with a mark of 180-1.
In the shot put, Delzer ranked second with a distance of 52-8. Baatz won the event of 11 participants with a throw of 55-5 1/2.
Delzer took fourth in the discus with a toss of 152-1. The event featured 11 entries, including Baatz who won the event with a distance of 174-5.
UW-Oshkosh claimed the team title with 390 points, while Lawrence University placed second with 45.

Titans Dominant In Outdoor Opener
  Pete Delzer (Jr. • Oconto Falls) broke the school record in the hammer throw as UW-Oshkosh won 14 events at its Men’s Outdoor Track & Field First-Chance Open on Saturday (March 31) at the Oshkosh Sports Complex.
The Titans racked up 390 points in the team scoring, while Lawrence University marked 45. Lawrence won two of the 16 competitions, getting Sam Stevens’ 1,500-meter time of 4:04.61 and a score of 3:45.43 in the 1,600-meter relay.
With a hammer throw of 200-9, Delzer eclipsed the Titan record from seven years ago. Nick Baatz (Jr. • Brownsville) added two more throwing triumphs with distances of 174-5 in the discus and 55-5 1/2 in the shot put. The other double winner was Alan German (Sr. • West Bend), who clocked 15.57 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles and 172-6 with the javelin.
UW-Oshkosh swept the short races, with Ryan Sprenger (So. • Larsen) taking the 100-meter at 11.07, John Cejka (Jr. • Wausau) the 200-meter at 22.16 and Brian Beaudo (Fr. • Fort Atkinson) the 400-meter at 50.23. Ken Halloran (So. • Mt. Prospect, Ill.) then captured the 3,000-meter run with his 8:54.14 and Zachary Adams (So. • Lake Geneva) the 5,000-meter run at 15:35.13.
On the field, Tom O'Connor (Sr. • Clintonville) cleared 13-6 1/4 on the pole vault for a victory. A high jump win came from Donald Klitz (Jr. • Markesan), who leapt over 6-8. Corey Wilch (So. • Waukesha) attained the final first-place finish with his 400-meter hurdles time of 54.76.
The Titans earned second place in 15 events. Ryan Fosler (Sr. • DeForest) accounted for two of those with his javelin flight of 163-10 and 110-meter hurdles score of 15.84.
UW-Oshkosh hosts another open meet on Saturday (April 7) at the Oshkosh Sports Complex.
