The WIAC has chosen UW-Oshkosh's Phil Devine (So. • Winnebago, Ill.) as its Men's Diver of the Week for meets held Nov. 9-15.

Devine dove to a pair of first-place finishes during UW-Oshkosh's 155-84 home loss to UW-Eau Claire on Nov. 14.

Devine won the one-meter diving with a score of 292.30 and the three-meter diving with a mark of 296.05. Both performances surpassed the qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III Championship on March 17-20 in Minneapolis, Minn.

Nick Badilla of UW-Eau Claire finished second to Devine in both events, posting scores of 238.60 in the one-meter diving and 251.80 in the three-meter diving.

Both diving events featured five participants.

Brent Schwartz of UW-Stevens Point was selected as the WIAC's Swimmer of the Week.

UW-Oshkosh's Tim Kuckuk (Fr. • Plymouth) has been named by the WIAC as its Men's Diver of the Week for meets held Oct. 26-Nov. 1.

Kuckuk won both diving events as UW-Oshkosh opened its 2009-10 season with a 109-95 victory over Carroll University on Oct. 31 in Albee Hall.

Kuckuk posted winning scores of 224.43 in the one-meter diving and 171.30 in the three-meter diving.

Arthur Thomas of Carroll University finished second in both events, counting 168.23 points in the one-meter diving and 155.25 in the three-meter diving.

Kevin O'Brien of UW-River Falls was chosen as the league's Swimmer of the Week.
