Chadderdon Earns All-America Accolade

Jacob ChadderdonUW-Oshkosh's Jacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison) became an All American for the first time in his career when he placed second in the one-meter diving event at the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championship on Thursday (March 20) at Miami University's Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center.

Chadderdon, UW-Oshkosh's lone entrant in the NCAA Division III Championship, finished second in the one meter diving with a score of 465.90. Kai Robinson of Amherst College (Mass.) won the event with a score of 499.75.

Finishing third was Bryan Carlisle of Rowan University (N.J.) with a count of 451.20, Nichol Halbach of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (N.Y.) fourth with a score of 450.90 and Matt Joseph of Rochester Institute of Technology (N.Y.) fifth with a mark of 450.

Chadderdon also competed in the three-meter diving on Saturday
(March 22) placing ninth overall with a score of 493. A total of 22 divers participated in the event.

Chadderdon became UW-Oshkosh's fourth diver to earn NCAA Division III All-America honors. Chadderdon joins Chris Hansman, Dave Lambrecht and Ryan Witt as All-Americans. Hansman garnered four All American awards, Lambrecht three and Witt six in their careers.

Kenyon College (Ohio), won its 29th straight national title by totaling 595 points. Johns Hopkins University (Md.) followed in second-place with 298 points, followed by Denison University (Ohio) in third with 280.5, Emory University (Ga.) in fourth with 249 and Williams College (Mass) in fifth with 209.

Counting all of its points from Chadderdon, UW-Oshkosh finished in 27th-place in team scoring with 26 points.

Chadderdon To Dive At NCAA Championship

Jacob ChadderdonJacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison) will be UW-Oshkosh's lone representative at this weekend's NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championship in Oxford, Ohio. The three-day meet begins Thursday (March 20) morning and concludes Saturday (March 22) evening at Miami University's Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center.

Chadderdon qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship in two events. He will compete in the one-meter diving on Thursday and the three-meter diving on Saturday. A total of 22 participants are registered in each event.

At the WIAC Championship held Feb. 21-23 in Oshkosh, Chadderdon was named Diver of the Meet after winning the three-meter diving and finishing second in the one-meter diving with scores of 484.95 and 474.05, respectively.

Chadderdon is making his second appearance at the NCAA Division III Championship. Last year, he sustained an injury at the national meet and was unable to compete.

Chadderdon will be attempting to become UW-Oshkosh's fourth diver to earn NCAA Division III All-America honors. If successful, Chadderdon would join Chris Hansman, Dave Lambrecht and Ryan Witt as All-Americans. Hansman garnered four All-American awards, Lambrecht three and Witt six in their careers.

The top eight finishers in each event gain NCAA Division III All-America recognition.

Titans Finish Fifth At WIAC Championship

Jacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison) earned the Diver of the Meet Award as UW-Oshkosh finished fifth at the WIAC Men's Swimming & Diving Championship held Thursday through Saturday (Feb. 21-23) in Albee Hall.

UW-Stevens Point took first place in the meet with 928 points. UW-La Crosse finished second with 794, followed by third-place UW-Eau Claire with 619, fourth-place UW-Whitewater with 463, fifth-place UW-Oshkosh with 241 and sixth-place UW-River Falls with 179.

Chadderdon captured first place in the three-meter diving event with 484.95 points. He also brought home a second-place result in the one-meter diving competition with a score of 474.05.

The Titans’ total of 241 points included a score of 28 in the 400-yard freestyle relay, the 400-yard medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay. UW-Oshkosh also earned 26 points in the 200-yard medley relay and 24 in the one-meter diving event.

Nicholas Cole (Sr. • West Bend) finished fourth in the 1,650-yard freestyle event with a school-record time of 16:57.53.

The 200-yard freestyle relay squad of Cole, Matt Behnke (Jr. • Eden), Jason Patzwald (So. • Menomonee Falls) and Justin Zangl (Jr. • Hartford) grabbed fifth place with a time of 1:30.76.

Cole, Behnke, Patzwald and Ryan Elliott (Jr. •Manitowoc) teamed up to take the fifth spot in the 400-yard medley relay in a time of 3:52.36.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team also ended with a fifth-place result in a time of 3:19.97. Cole, Kent Ludeman (So. • Cedarburg), Zangl and Patzwald were the members of the relay.

Ludeman, Elliott, Zangl and Steve Schendt (So. • Janesville) grouped together in the 200-yard medley relay for a sixth-place listing with a time of 1:48.03. Cole also grabbed the sixth spot in the 200-yard freestyle with a mark of 1:46.75.

UW-Oshkosh received a pair of 10th-place listings from Patzwald in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.49 and in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 54.94.

Patzwald also took 11th-place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.04. Behnke added two 11th-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke with a mark of 1:04.56 and in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:20.59.

Cole took the 12th spot in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:55.01, as did Ludeman in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:04.92 and Schendt in the 200-yard breaststroke with a figure of 2:22.57.

UW-Stevens Point swept the other three prestigious indivdual awards at the championship as Chase Gross was selected the Swimmer of the Meet, Al Boelk the Coach of the Year, Willie Clapp the Max Sparger
Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Eagles Fly Past Titans

Jacob ChadderdonNicholas ColeJacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Menomonee Falls) set an UW-Oshkosh record in the one-meter dive and won the three-meter dive as well leading the men's swimming and diving team to a 177-61 defeat to UW-La Crosse on Saturday (Feb. 2) in La Crosse.

Chadderdon set the new Titans' standard on the one-meter dive by piling up 338.00 points. He took home top honors in the three-meter dive by amassing 278.55 points as he was the only UW-Oshkosh performer to win an event against the Eagles.

Taking runner-up honors for the Titans were Nicholas Cole (Sr. • West Bend) in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:49.59 and Alex Socha (So. • Pleasant Prairie) in the one-meter dive with 227.40 points.

Third-place performances by UW-Oshkosh included Justin Zangl (Jr. • Hartford) in the 1,000-meter freestyle in a time of 11:02.34, Cole in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:14.77 and Adam Socha in the three-meter dive with 196.65 points.

Fourth-place showings for the Titans consisted of Flavio De Luca (Fr. • Sao Paulo, Brazil) in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.30, Kyle Spittler (So. • Clinton, Iowa) in the three-meter dive with 180.70 points, Ryan Elliott (Jr. • Manitowoc) in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 55.57, Adam Socha (Jr. • Pleasant Prairie) in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:11.00 and John Potter (Fr. • McFarland) in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:57.19.

Matt Behnke (Jr. • Eden) captured two, fourth-place listings with a time of 1:04.27 in the 100-yard butterfly and a time of 1:06.81 in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Titans Soak Vikings

Jacob ChadderdonJustin ZanglJacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison) and Justin Zangl (Jr. • Hartford) each won two events as the UW-Oshkosh men's swimming and diving team defeated Lawrence University, 134-92, in a dual meet held on Wednesday (Jan. 30) in Appleton.

Chadderdon won both diving competitions, scoring 275.95 point in the one-meter dive and 296.65 points in the three meter dive, respectively. Zangl swam to top-honors in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:55.44 and in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:19.99.

Other first-place performances for UW-Oshkosh included a school-record time of 10:09.46 in the 1000-yard freestyle by Nicholas Cole (Sr. • West Bend), a time of 4:48.31 in the 400-yard individual medley by Ryan Elliott (Jr. • Manitowoc), a time of 2:26.84 in the 200-yard butterfly by Kent Ludeman (So. • Cedarburg) and a time of 50.31 in the 100-yard freestyle by Jason Patzwald (So. • Menomonee Falls).

The Titans' 400-yard medley relay consisting of Elliott, Ludeman, David Lonie (Sr. • Cypress, Calif.) and Steve Schendt (So. • Janesville) also took first-place in a time of 4:06.72.

UW-Oshkosh's runner-up showings included Schendt in the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 4:57.10, Andrew Cipriano (Jr. • Whitewater) in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:37.72, Cole in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:09.01 and Alex Socha (So. • Pleasant Prairie) in the three-meter dive with 205.45 points.

The Titans' third-place listings consisted of Ryan Curley (So. • Milton) in the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:50.90, Patzwald in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:58.28, Lonie in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 24.64, Elliott in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 54.94, Alex Socha in the one-meter dive with 178.05 points and Adam Socha (Jr. • Pleasant Prairie) in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:47.46.

Fourth-place results for UW-Oshkosh included T.J. Tersine (Sr. • Wind Lake) in the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 12:41.39, John Potter (Fr. • McFarland) in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.91, Kyle Spittler (So. • Clinton, Iowa) in the one-meter diving event with 160.70 points, Lonie in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.04 and Cipriano in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:10.77.

The victory over the Vikings was the first for the Titans since a 132-103 showing in 2003.

Pointers Drop Titans

Joshua RayAlex SochaThe UW-Oshkosh men's swimming and diving team had four individual champions and a relay event champion and four second-place finishes, but it wasn't enough as they fell 129-100 to UW-Stevens Point on Friday (Dec. 7) in Albee Hall.

Highlighting the event for UW-Oshkosh was the diving tandem of Jacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison) and Alex Socha (So. • Pleasant Prairie). Chadderdon won the one meter diving competition with 228.45 points and took second in the three-meter diving battle with 179 points and Socha finished first in the three-meter diving event with 192.95 points and runner-up in the one-meter diving challenge with 183.70.

Capturing first for the Titans were Joshua Ray (So. • Elkhorn) in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.33, Steve Schendt (So. • Janesville) in the 100-breaststroke in a time of 1:07.48 and the 200-yard freestyle relay team in a time of 1:30.45. Members of the winning relay team were Nicholas Cole (Sr. • West Bend), David Lonie (Sr. • Cypress, Calif.), Jason Patzwald (So. • Menomonee Falls) and Ray.

Taking runner-up honors for UW-Oshkosh were Cole in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.37 and Justin Zangl (Jr. • Hartford) in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:08.47.

Placing third were Ray in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 51.71, Kent Ludeman (So. • Cedarburg) in the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 4:46.72 and Ryan Elliott (Jr. • Manitowoc) in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:12.02.

Registering fourth-place efforts were Elliott in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 59.80, Cole in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 59.53, Lonie in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.47 and Matt Behnke (Jr. • Eden) in the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:58.15. Patzwald also placed fourth in both the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:58.63 and in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:32.01.

Titans Finish Second In Own Invitational

Nicholas ColeJason PatzwaldJason Patzwald (So. • Menomonee Falls) won three swimming events, Jacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison) captured both diving events and Nicholas Cole (Sr. • West Bend) broke a school record to lead the UW-Oshkosh men's swimming and diving team to a second-place finish in its own invitational held Saturday (Dec. 1) at Albee Hall.

UW-Whitewater captured the team title with 992 points. The Warhawks were followed by second-place UW-Oshkosh with 918 points, third-place Ripon College with 413, fourth-place Lawrence University with 318, fifth-place Principia College (Ill.) with 226 and sixth-place UW-La Crosse with 55.

Patzwald won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 57.18, the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:09.88 and the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 50.26 to complete the trifecta.

Chadderdon took the one-meter diving event with 403.45 points and the three-meter diving competition with 412.55. Cole broke the school record with a second-place performance in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:13.11 Sean Roberts set the previous standard in 1999 in a time of 10:23.42.

UW-Oshkosh claimed three other individual event titles when Cole won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 4:54,93, Steve Schendt (So. • Janesville) won the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:24.44 and Ryan Elliott (Jr. • Manitowoc) captured the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:11.68.

The Titans also were victories in the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:32.11 and the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:44.79. Members of the 200-yard freestyle relay included Cole, David Lonie (Sr. • Cypress, Calif.), Patzwald and Josh Ray (So. • Elkhorn) and individuals on the 200-yard medley relay team were Lonie, Patzwald, Ray and Schendt.

Compiling second-place finishes for the Titans were Cole in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:51.19, Schendt in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:06.24, Lonie in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.38 and Kent Ludeman (So. • Cedarburg) in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:25.56.

UW-Oshkosh also had runner-up results in the 400-yard medley relay in a time of 4:05.62 and the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:32.35.

The 400-yard medley relay quartet consisted of Matt Behnke (Jr. • Eden), Elliott, Trevor Stellrecht (Jr. • Clintonville) and Justin Zangl (Jr. • Hartford) and the 400-yard freestyle relay foursome included Behnke, Cole, Elliott and Zangl.

Third-place showings from the Titans included Behnke in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:06.62 and the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:27.44, Cole in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 50.52, Patzwald in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.48, Elliott in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 58.47 and Ray in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 59.31.

Fourth-place listings for UW-Oshkosh went to Ray in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.55 and the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 51.67, Ludeman in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:07.23 and the 200-yard individual breaststroke in a time of 2:12.78 and Alex Socha (So. • Pleasant Prairie) in the three-meter diving event with 305.15 points.

Fifth-place results were achieved for the Titans by Elliott in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:08.02, Ray in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:16.05, Zangl in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:18.27 and Socha in the one-meter diving competition with 271.70 points.

UW-Oshkosh received sixth-place performances by Zangl in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:57.05 and the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 53.14, Behnke in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:18.28 and Elliott in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:21.63.

Titans Take Fifth At WIAC Relays

Jacob ChadderdonAlex SochaThe UW-Oshkosh men's swimming and diving team captured fifth place with 66 points at the WIAC Relays held Saturday (Nov. 17) in La Crosse.

UW-Stevens Point won the event with 158 points followed by UW-La Crosse with 124.

Highlighting the day for the Titans was a first-place performance by Jacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison) and Alex Socha (Jr. • Pleasant Prairie) in the three-meter and a fourth-place showing in the one-meter diving events. The duo combined to score 223 points in the three-meter competition and tallied 212.90 points in the one-meter event. Last season the twosome took second in both events with 208.05 points in the three-meter and 196.10 points in the one-meter, respectively.

UW-Oshkosh captured fourth-place in the 400-yard medley relay and the 300-yard breaststroke relay to highlight its best results in the swimming portion of the meet.

Ryan Elliott (Jr. • Manitowoc), Jason Patzwald (So. • Menomonee Falls), Steve Schendt (So. • Janesville) and Justin Zangl (Jr. • Hartford) led the Titans as part of the 400-yard medley relay in a time of 4:12.21 and Matt Behnke (Jr. • Eden), Kent Ludeman (So. • Cedarburg) and Schendt were members of the 300-yard breaststroke that finished in a time of 3:29.51.

Last season, UW-Oshkosh took fifth place with 58 points and in 2006 tallied a fifth-place result with 44 points.

Titans Lose Two Dual Meets

Jacob ChadderdonNicholas ColeThe UW-Oshkosh men's swimming and diving team won one individual event and took second in three others, while losing a pair of dual meets with Luther College (Iowa) and UW-Whitewater Saturday (Nov. 8) in Albee Hall.

The Titans lost to Luther College 87-26, and UW-Whitewater, 72-41 with the Norse beating the Warhawks 78-35.

UW-Oshkosh's Jacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison) won the three-meter diving competition by amassing 266.45 points to account for the Titans only victory.

Nicholas Cole (Sr. • West Bend) raced to two second-place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle and the 1,650-yard freestyle with times of 5:03.25 and 17:35.40, respectively. Chadderdon added a runner-up finish in the one-meter diving event by totaling 258 points.

Placing fourth for the Titans were Matt Behnke (Jr. • Eden) in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:08.77 and Alex Socha (So. • Pleasant Prairie) in the three-meter diving challenge with 189.70 points.

Fifth-place performances included Josh Ray (So. • Elkhorn) in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.81 and Socha in the one-meter diving competition with 162.10 points. Steve Schendt (So. • Janesville) gave UW-Oshkosh its lone sixth-place result in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:09.29.

Titans Take Second Place
At St. Norbert College Invitational

Nicholas ColeJason PatzwaldNicholas Cole (Sr. • West Bend) and Jason Patzwald (So. • Menomonee Falls) each captured second in one individual event, and Cole was a part of three runner-up relay teams to help the UW-Oshkosh men’s swimming and diving team to a second-place finish at the St. Norbert College Invitational held Saturday (Oct. 27) in Appleton.

UW-Whitewater scored 507 points to win the seven-team event, while UW-Oshkosh finished second with 306, Lawrence University third with 299.5, Beloit College fourth with 236, Ripon College fifth with 233.5, Carroll College sixth with 219 and Loyola University (Ill.) seventh with 149.

Cole swam to a second-place performance in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 51.61 and Patzwald took runner-up in the 50-yard butterfly in a time of 25.69. Both teamed-up with Josh Ray (So. • Elkhorn) and Steve Schendt (So. • Janesville) to secure second-place in the 100-yard medley relay in a time of 49.34. The duo also joined eight other Titans for a second-place result in the 500-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:06.50 and Cole led the quartet of David Lonie (Sr. • Cypress, Calif.), Jake Murphy (Fr. • West Chicago, Ill.) and Justin Zangl (Jr. • Hartford) in the 500-yard freestyle crescendo relay team to a second-place time of 4:38.22.

UW-Oshkosh also received a third-place finish from Ray in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.72 and from the 100-yard freestyle relay team of Matt Behnke (Jr. • Eden), Ryan Elliott (Jr. • Mantiowoc), Patzwald and Ray in a time of 46.11.

The Titans also had fourth-place finishes by Elliott in the 50-yard butterfly in a time of 26.67 and Behnke, Elliott, Patzwald and Ray in the 200-yard medley relay team in a time of 1:48.98.

Ray also scored a fifth-place performance in the 50-yard backstroke in a time of 28.24, Cole a sixth-place listing in the 100-yard individual medley in a time of 1:00.46 and Patzwald a sixth-place showing in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 24.01.

Cole, Patzwald and Ray ended the meet with five top-six showings and Elliott with four top-six results.

No diving events were held in the meet.

Titans Sink Falcons

Jacob ChadderdonJason PatzwaldJacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison), Nicholas Cole (Sr. • West Bend) and Jason Patzwald (So. • Menomonee Falls) each won two individual titles as the UW-Oshkosh men's swimming and diving team cruised to a 160-126 victory over UW-River Falls on Saturday (Oct. 20) in Albee Hall.

Chadderdon flipped his way to 171.60 points in the three-meter dive and 166.00 in the one-meter dive, Cole captured the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 50.91 and the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:15.87 and Patzwald won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:00.57 and the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:27.21 to pace the Titans.

Other first-place offerings for UW-Oshkosh were Joshua Ray (So. • Elkhorn) in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:02.52 and Justin Zangl (Jr. • Hartford) in the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 12:14.04.

Cole, Patzwald and Ray also added an individual second-place finish for the Titans. Cole finished the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:09.08, Patzwald completed the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 24.57 and Ray ended the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 53.72 to pace UW-Oshkosh.

UW-Oshkosh's runner-up performances continued with Matt Behnke (Jr. • Eden) in the 100-breaststroke in a time of 1:09.76 and the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:33.17, Ryan Elliott (Jr. • Manitowoc) in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:02.48 and Alex Socha (So. • Pleasant Prairie) in the three-meter dive with 113.10 points.

Adding third-place results for the Titans were Elliott in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:33.43 and Zangl in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:32.63. Andrew Cipriano (Jr. • Whitewater) was a two-time third-place finisher in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:53.19 and the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 12:56.15.

UW-Oshkosh also received third-place performances from Jake Murphy (Fr. • West Chicago, Ill.) in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.02, Steve Schendt (So. • Janesville) in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:09.83 and Adam Socha (Jr. • Pleasant Prairie) in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:01.98.

The Titans' listing of fourth-place showings included Behnke in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.21, Ryan Curley (So. • Milton) in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:06.99, Murphy in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 55:43, Schendt in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:35.61, Adam Socha in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:13.67 and in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:34.96 and Trevor Stellrecht (Jr. • Clintonville) in the 100-backstroke in a time of 1:13.84.

Titans Place Second At Midwest Coed Relays

The UW-Oshkosh men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams placed second in seven events and finished second overall at the Midwest Coed Relays held Saturday (Oct. 13) in Eau Claire.

UW-Eau Claire, which finished first in all 12 events, won the meet with 84 points. UW-Oshkosh ranked second in the team standings with 56 points and UW-River Falls third with 44.

Tami Trochinski (Fr. • Neenah) and Jacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison) posted two second-place figures in the diving events for UW-Oshkosh. The duo scored 172.30 points in the three-meter diving and a 219.95 in the one-meter diving.

UW-Oshkosh took second place in five relays, recording times of 18:23.71 in the 1,700-yard freestyle, 4:23.60 in the 400-yard butterfly, 4:50.87 in the 400-yard breaststroke, 4:00.99 in the 400-yard medley and 3:48.75 in the 400-yard freestyle.

Blugolds Topple Titans In Season Opener

Jacob ChadderdonJoshua RayJacob Chadderdon (Jr. • Madison) led the UW-Oshkosh men's swimming and diving team during a 181-61 loss to UW-Eau Claire on Friday (Oct. 11) in Eau Claire. It was the first meet of the season for the Titans.

Chadderdon won both the one-meter and three-meter diving with 224.55 and 205.20 points, respectively.

UW-Oshkosh's lone second-place result went to Joshua Ray (So. • Elkhorn) in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:04.83.

Nicolas Cole (Sr. • West Bend) took third-place in both the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:17.44 and the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:09.84. UW-Oshkosh's third-place listings also included Matt Behnke (Jr. • Eden) in the 100 yard breaststroke in a time of 1:09.80, Jason Patzwald (So. • Menomonee Falls) in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:00.57, Ray in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 24:02 and Alex Socha (So. • Pleasant Prairie) in the three-meter dive with 155.45 points.

Registering fourth-place efforts were Justin Zangl (Jr. • Hartford) in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 54.71 and the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:02.41, Ryan Elliot (Jr. • Manitowoc) in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:02.95 and Patzwald in the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:22.02.
