Men's 10,000-Meter Run Recap

OSHKOSH, Wis. - With four competitors in the lead pack with one lap to go, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Tyler Sigl made his move and hung on for the victory in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 30:54.19.

Beginning the race in down pouring rain, Sigl out-sprinted runner-up finisher senior Andy Cloke from State University of New-York-Cortland and third place performer freshman Paul Moran from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Cloke clocked in a time of 30:55.22 and Moran finished in a time of 30:58.55.

Non-seniors dominated five of the top six places as junior Hany Abdallah of New York University tallied a fourth-place listing in a time of 31:00.73, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh sophomore Willy Kaul took fifth-place in a time of 31:03.85 and junior Donald Letts of Haverford College (Pa.) tallied a sixth-place result in a time of 31:08.76.

Haverford College and State University of New York-Cortland each had two All-Americans in the event as senior Zach Vaslow place seventh in a time of 31:08.76 and senior Fred Joslyn took eighth-place in a time of 31:14.73, respectively.
