Men's Shot Put Recap
OSHKOSH, Wis. -The top seeds battled it out in the men’s shot put at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium. Mount Union College (Ohio) senior Justin Rodhe came away with the national title with a Division III season-best throw of 59-3 ½. It also set a new facility record.

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse sophomore Bobby Riley placed second with a mark of 58-1 ¾. Riley had entered the championship seeded first while Rohde was second. University of Wisconsin-Whitewater junior Dan Hytinen placed third with a throw of 54-6.

Rodhe (2nd), Riley (3rd) and Hytinen (1st) earned All-America honors in the discus as well during the championship.

Junior Josh Dupuis of State University of New York-Brockport placed fourth in the shot put (53-7) with senior Alex Kampersal of Springfield College (Mass.) fifth (53-5 ¾). Senior Jeff Rebholz of Monmouth College (Ill.) finished sixth (52-6 ¾) followed by sophomore Eugene Asimouu of Montclair State University (N.J.) seventh (52-4) and senior Bob Perri of Grove City College College (Pa.) eighth (51-11) to round-out the eight All-America field.
