OSHKOSH, Wis. – Amherst College’s (Mass.) Shauneen Garrahan kept her Lord Jeffs’ squad squarely in the thick of the 2007 NCAA Division III women’s team point race Friday (May 25) adding the 3000-meter steeplechase title to her 10,000-meter victory from Thursday.

Garrahan’s 10:13.33 clocking set a new national meet and J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium record. The senior enjoyed her second career national steeplechase title and third overall individual national championship. It jumped Amherst College's team point total to 27, leading pre-meet favorite Calvin College (Mich.) by six-and-a-half points. Luther College's (Iowa.) sophomore Janet Dobyns took second in 10:20.97, holding off a fierce charge from Dickinson College’s (Pa.) junior Caitlin Bradley at the finish line. Bradley crossed in 10:21.04.
