Women's 400-Meter Hurdles Recap

OSHKOSH, Wis. – Freshman Fawn Dorr from State University of New York-Cortland became the 14th straight national champion from a different institution in the 400-meter hurdles when you captured the event in a time of 59.60.

Junior Sarah Wittingen from Calvin College (Mich.) took runner-up honors in a time of 59.96. Wittingen took sixth a year ago at the NCAA Division III championship. Senior Jen Dias from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (N.Y.), the runner-up finisher last year, scampered to a third-place finish in a time of 1:01.24. Dias became a four-time All-American with her performance, as she also finished fourth in 2005 and seventh in 2004.

Senior Shayla Livingston from Smith College (Mass.) finished in fourth-place in a time of 1:01.07, senior Maria Millard from Amherst College (Mass.) tallied a fifth-place in a time of 1:01.38 and senior Emily Lepley from State University of New York-Oneonta captured sixth-place in a time of 1:01.93.

2005 NCAA Division III champion senior Emily Lepley from Susquehanna University (Pa.) took seventh-place in a time of 1:02.14 and senior Shannon Zweifel from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls took eighth-place in a time of 1:02.27 to complete the All-America performances. Lepley became a three-time All-American as she also took seventh-place last year.
