NCGA All-America Recognition
 UW-Oshkosh's Stacie Jenkins (So. • Peoria, Ariz.) and Mary Ann Oehlerking (Fr. • Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) earned All-America second team honors at the 25th Annual National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship held Friday and Saturday (March 20-21) in St. Paul, Minn.
Jenkins gained All-America status by finishing ninth among the 22 participants in the all-around competition with 37.00 points. She also placed 21st on the balance beam with a score of 9.275, 23rd in the floor exercise with a value of 9.40, 25th on the uneven bars with a mark of 9.05 and 38th on the vault with a tally of 9.275.
Oehlerking collected All-America mention by placing seventh among the 56 entrants on the uneven bars with 18.675 points. She ranked 13th with 9.25 points after Friday's preliminary round, but improved that position by counting 9.425 points during Saturday's final.
Also competing in the preliminary round was UW-Oshkosh's Jaslyn Essman (Fr. • Burlington). Essman finished 15th in the floor exercise with a score of 9.45.
Julia Zimmerman of Massachusetts Institute of Technology won a pair of event titles by scoring 38.275 points in the all-around competition and 19.375 on the vault. Other event champions were Naomi DeLara of UW-Stout in the floor exercise with 19.525 points, Ashley George of UW-Whitewater on the uneven bars with 19.325 and Alyssa Nealy of State University of New York-Cortland on the balance beam with 19.25.
The top six places in each individual category earn All-America first team honors. Places seven through 12 obtain All-America second team accolades.
UW-La Crosse compiled 186.875 points to capture its eighth title in nine years and 13th overall. State University of New York-Brockport finished second in the seven-team meet with 184.95 points, while UW-Whitewater placed third with 184.85, Winona State University (Minn.) fourth with 184.60, Ithaca College (N.Y.) fifth with 183.60, State University of New York-Cortland sixth with 182.75 and Hamline University (Minn.) seventh with 179.20.
Jennifer White of UW-Whitewater was named the 2009 NCGA Coach of the Year, while Zimmerman was selected as the 2009 NCGA Senior Gymnast of the Year. UW-Oshkosh's Anne Austad (Sr. • Glencoe, Minn.) was one of 47 gymnasts honored as a 2009 NCGA Senior Academic All-American.

Three Titans To Compete At NCGA Championship
  UW-Oshkosh's Jaslyn Essman (Fr. • Burlington), Stacie Jenkins (So. • Peoria, Ariz.) and Mary Ann Oehlerking (Fr. • Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) have been invited to compete at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship on Friday and Saturday (March 20-21) in St. Paul, Minn.
All three UW-Oshkosh women received at-large invitations, with Essman asked to participate in the floor exercise, Jenkins in the all-around competition and Oehlerking on the uneven bars.
Titles in the team and individual all-around competition will be determined on Friday. The four individual event championships will be conducted on Saturday, with the top 12 scorers from the preliminary competition advancing to the finals. All-America status will be awarded to the top 12 individuals in each event and the top 10 individuals in the all-around competition.
Hamline University (Minn.), Ithaca College (N.Y.), State University of New York-Brockport, State University of New York-Cortland, defending champion UW-La Crosse, UW-Whitewater and Winona State University (Minn.) will be battling for the team title.
Jenkins is competing at her second straight NCGA Championship. Last year, she failed to advance to the finals of the floor exercise competition after posting a 15th-place score of 9.625 in the preliminaries. Jenkins placed 14th in the all-around competition with a score of 35.50 and 18th in the floor exercise with a mark of 9.40 at the WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional held March 6 in Winona, Minn.
Essman and Oehlerking make their first appearance at the NCGA Championship after placing in the top 11 at the WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional. Essman finished sixth in the floor exercise with a score of 9.55, while Oehlerking ranked 11th on the uneven bars with a figure of 9.125.

Titans Place Fifth At

Jaslyn Essman (Fr. • Burlington) was UW-Oshkosh's lone top 10 finisher as the Titans placed fifth at the WIAC Women's Gymnastics Championship held Friday (March 6) in Winona, Minn.
UW-La Crosse compiled 187.20 team points to capture its 13th straight WIAC title and 20th overall. The Eagles tallied their score on 47.725 points in the floor exercise, 47.125 on the vault, 46.825 on the balance beam and 45.525 on the uneven bars.
UW-Whitewater finished second in the eight-team meet with 185.10 points, while host Winona State University placed third with 182.925, UW-Stout fourth with 180.85, UW-Oshkosh fifth with 179.925, Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) sixth with 179.40, Hamline University (Minn.) seventh with 178.875 and UW-Eau Claire eighth with 173.45. The Titans finished sixth at last year's meet with 178.25 points.
UW-Oshkosh recorded its highest overall team score of the season on 46.475 points in the floor exercise, 46.10 on the vault, 44.225 on the balance beam and 43.125 on the uneven bars. UW-Oshkosh's team scores in the floor exercise and on the balance beam were season bests.
Essman led UW-Oshkosh with a sixth-place score of 9.55 in the floor exercise. The Titans also had two other top 25 performers in the event as Stacie Jenkins (So. • Peoria, Ariz.) finished 18th with 9.40 points and Gretchen Fackelman (Jr. • St. Louis, Mo.) 24th with 9.225.
UW-Oshkosh's Mary Ann Oehlerking (Fr. • Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) registered a pair of top 18 finishes by ranking 11th on the uneven bars and 18th on the balance beam with scores of 9.125 and 9.05, respectively.
Other UW-Oshkosh results featured Jill Lindberg (Fr. • Meridian, Idaho) finishing 13th on the balance beam with 9.15 points, Jenkins placing 14th in the all-around competition with 35.50 and Stefanie Armstrong (Jr. • Kennesaw, Ga.) and Ryan Metzger (So. • Hanover Park, Ill.) both ranking 23rd on the vault with 9.275.
Winning individual titles were Kristen Weniger of Hamline University and Gabi Hooper of UW-La Crosse on the vault with a score of 9.675, Justine Weyer of UW-Whitewater on the uneven bars with a mark of 9.50, Mackenzie Howard of UW-La Crosse on the balance beam with a figure of 9.65 and Meghan Hargens of UW-Stout in the floor exercise with a value of 9.65. Hargens totaled 38.05 points to win the all-around title.
All-WIAC honors went to the top six places in each of the five individual categories.
Winona State University's Beckie Rolbiecki was named the
WIAC’s Coach of the Year. The Warriors' Alexandra Nugent was selected as the WIAC’s Judy
Kruckman Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Titans Finish Behind Falcons, Eagles In Triangular
 The U.S. Air Force Academy (Colo.) claimed at least a share of the top ranking in four of the five individual categories and defeated both UW-La Crosse and UW-Oshkosh in a women's gymnastics meet held Friday (Feb. 27) in La Crosse.
The NCAA Division I Falcons totaled 187.30 points to oust its two NCAA Division III competitors. UW-La Crosse finished second in the team standings with 185.675 points and UW-Oshkosh third with 176.70.
UW-Oshkosh was led by the eighth-place finishes of Jaslyn Essman (Fr. • Burlington), Stacie Jenkins (So. • Peoria, Ariz.), Jill Lindberg (Fr. • Meridian, Idaho) and Mary Ann Oehlerking (Fr. • Hawthorn Woods, Ill.).
Essman posted a score of 9.375 in the floor exercise, while Jenkins compiled a sum of 34.825 in the all-around competition, Lindberg a mark of 9.125 on the balance beam and Oehlerking a value of 8.725 on the uneven bars. Jenkins also finished ninth on the uneven bars and Essman 12th on the vault with scores of 8.60 and 9.40, respectively.
Darlene Herrmann (Jr. • Newton, N.J.) contributed an 11th-place score of 8.475 on the uneven bars and a 12th-place figure of 8.90 on the balance beam.
Abbey Rogers of the U.S. Air Force Academy earned three individual victories after recording scores of 38.275 in the all-around competition, 9.70 on the balance beam and 9.65 in the floor exercise. Rogers shared the top ranking in the floor exercise with UW-La Crosse's Gabi Hooper.
Other individual winners were Hooper on the vault and Aftan Boudreaux of the U.S. Air Force Academy on the uneven bars with scores of 9.85 and 9.30, respectively.

Titans Place Fourth At Hamline University Invitational
  Hamline University (Minn.) and UW-Stout combined to own four of the five individual winners, but it was Winona State University (Minn.) that captured the team title at the Hamline University Invitational held Saturday (Feb. 21) in St. Paul, Minn.
Winona State University won the four-team meet with 180.30 points, while UW-Stout finished second with 178.40, Hamline University third with 177.95 and UW-Oshkosh fourth with 175.475.
UW-Oshkosh's best individual performance came from Stacie Jenkins (So. • Peoria, Ariz.), who finished fifth in the all-around competition with 35.40 points, seventh on the uneven bars with 8.775 and eighth in the floor exercise with 9.10.
Paula Delsart (So. • Green Bay) contributed to UW-Oshkosh’s team scoring by placing third on the balance beam with a score of 9.25 and seventh on the vault with a mark of 9.30.
The Titans also received a sixth-place score of 9.20 in the floor exercise from Jaslyn Essman (Fr. • Burlington), an eighth-place value of 8.90 on the balance beam from Darlene Herrmann (Jr. • Newton, N.J.) and a 12th-place mark of 9.175 on the vault from Ryan Metzger (So. • Hanover Park, Ill.).
Meghan Hargens led UW-Stout to its second-place finish in the team standings by posting winning scores of 37.55 in the all-around competition and 9.35 on the uneven bars.
Kristen Weniger paced Hamline University with first-place scores of 9.65 on the vault and 9.45 in the floor exercise.
Melissa Baudhuin of Winona State University acquired the remaining first-place finish with a score of 9.375 on the balance beam.

Titans Outshine Blugolds
 The UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics team compiled its highest score of the season and defeated UW-Eau Claire, 178.525-173.275, on Friday (Feb. 13) in Eau Claire.
The Titans' overall score featured season bests of 46.00 in the floor exercise, 45.925 on the vault and 43.15 on the uneven bars. UW-Oshkosh tallied 43.45 team points on the balance beam.
UW-Oshkosh swept the top four spots on the balance beam, including a first-place score of 9.30 from Paula Delsart (So. • Green Bay) and a second-place mark of 8.875 from Gretchen Fackelman (Jr. • St. Louis, Mo.). Fackelman also turned in a fourth-place result with her 9.075 points in the floor exercise.
Stacie Jenkins (So. • Peoria, Ariz.) added two more wins for the Titans after posting the best all-around score with 36.05 points. That total included a first-place performance of 9.025 on the uneven parallel bars, a second-place showing of 9.425 in the floor exercise and a fourth-place ranking of 8.55 on the balance beam.
UW-Oshkosh’s fourth and final victory came from Jaslyn Essman (Fr. • Burlington), who notched 9.45 points in the floor exercise. She also tacked on a third-place score of 9.275 on the vault.
UW-Eau Claire's Anna Sutherland took first place on the vault with a score of 9.40, while UW-Oshkosh's Mary Ann Oehlerking (Fr. • Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) placed second with a value of 9.35.
UW-Oshkosh also received a pair of top-six finishes from Stefanie Armstrong (Jr. • Kennesaw, Ga.), Anne Austad (Sr. • Glencoe, Minn.) and Ryan Metzger (So. • Hanover Park, Ill.). Armstrong ranked fourth on the vault with a score of 9.15 and fifth in the floor exercise with a tally of 9.05. Austad place third on the balance beam with a score of 8.775 and sixth in the floor exercise with a mark of 9.00. Metzger listed fifth on the uneven bars with a number of 8.80 and sixth on the vault with a figure of 9.10.

Gusties Overcome Titans In Final Rotation
 Deductions totaling four-tenths of a point in its fourth and final event proved costly for the UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics team as it dropped a narrow 172.825-172.775 decision to Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) on Saturday (Feb. 7) in Kolf Sports Center.
UW-Oshkosh held a 130.175-129.25 lead after three events, but four deductions in the floor exercise competition limited the Titans to just 42.60 points. The Gusties took advantage of UW-Oshkosh's errors by scoring 43.575 points on the balance beam to rally for the victory.
In addition to its score in the floor exercise, UW-Oshkosh tallied 44.20 points on the vault, 43.425 on the balance beam and 42.55 on the uneven bars. Gustavus Adolphus College also recorded scores of 43.625 on the vault, 43.275 in the floor exercise and 42.35 on the uneven bars.
UW-Oshkosh had three gymnasts combine to capture the first-place finishes on the four individual apparatus. Jaslyn Essman (Fr. • Burlington) was a double-winner for the Titans after scoring 9.225 points on the vault and 9.15 in the floor exercise. Christine Askham of Gustavus Adolphus College won the all-around competition with a score of 34.925. Her winning value included a second-place score of 9.125 on the uneven bars.

Titans, Blue Devils Tie For John Zuerlein Invitational Title
  UW-Oshkosh recorded its highest score of the season to tie UW-Stout for first place at the John Zuerlein Women's Gymnastics Invitational held Friday (Jan. 30) in Menomonie.
UW-Oshkosh and host UW-Stout shared the top team ranking with 175.575 points. Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) finished third in the four-team meet with 171.625 points and UW-Eau Claire fourth with 169.525.
UW-Oshkosh's team score included season bests of 43.775 on the balance beam and 43.025 on the uneven bars. The Titans also compiled event scores of 45.35 on the vault and 43.425 in the floor exercise.
Stacie Jenkins (So. • Peoria, Ariz.) tallied UW-Oshkosh's highest individual finish by placing second in the all-around competition with a score of 35.875. Jenkins also finished fourth in the floor exercise with a score of 9.075, fifth on the vault with a mark of 9.175, sixth on the uneven bars with a figure of 8.825 and eighth on the balance beam with a value of 8.80.

UW-Stout's Meghan Hargens took first place in three events and the all-around competition. She tallied scores of 9.375 on the uneven bars, 9.425 on the vault and 37.25 in the all-around competition. Hargens marked a score of 9.35 in the floor exercise to tie teammate Naomi DeLara for the top listing. DeLara also captured first place on the balance beam with a score of 9.55.

Titans Earn Victory over Blugolds
 Four of the top five performers in the floor exercise belonged to UW-Oshkosh as the Titans recorded a 170.05-164.925 victory over the UW-Eau Claire women's gymnastics team on Friday (Jan. 23) in Kolf Sports Center.
UW-Oshkosh scored 43.40 of its overall team points in the floor exercise, including Jaslyn Essman's (Fr. • Burlington) first-place tally of 9.35 and Stacie Jenkins' (So. • Peoria, Ariz.) second-place mark of 9.00. The Titans also received a fourth-place score of 8.625 from Stefanie Armstrong (Jr. • Kennesaw, Ga.) and a fifth-place value of 8.40 from Gretchen Fackelman (Jr. • St. Louis, Mo.).
Jenkins added to her floor exercise performance by winning the all-around competition with a score of 34.525. She also placed second on the uneven bars with a figure of 8.80.
UW-Eau Claire’s Theresa Lynch captured first-place honors on the balance beam and uneven bars with identical scores of 8.85. The Blugolds' Sarah Hulbert finished first on the vault with a count of 9.05.
UW-Oshkosh obtained additional second-place finishes from Armstrong and Mary Ann Oehlerking (Fr. • Hawthorn Woods, Ill.). Armstrong carved a score of 8.775 on the vault while Oehlerking registered a value of 8.80 on the balance beam.
Third-place efforts went to the Titans' Essman on the vault with a score of 8.75, Fackelman on the balance beam with a count of 8.55, Paula Delsart (So. • Green Bay) in the all-around competition with a tally of 31.925 and Chelsea Glory (Fr. • Garfield, Ark.) on the uneven bars with a mark of 8.75.
UW-Oshkosh's performances concluded with Delsart's fourth-place score of 8.45 on the balance beam, Darlene Herrmann's (Jr. • Newton, N.J.) fourth-place mark of 8.65 on the uneven bars and Oehlerking's sixth-place tally of 8.10 on the uneven bars.

Warriors Conquer Titans
 Winona State University (Minn.) had four individual winners as it defeated UW-Oshkosh, 174.20-166.775, in a women's gymnastics meet held Saturday (Jan. 17) in Kolf Sports Center.
The Warriors received winning scores of 35.45 in the all-around competition from Alexandra Nugent, 8.90 on the uneven bars from Amanda Cotter, 9.35 on the balance beam from Katie Gregory and 9.375 on the vault from Heather Rummelein.
UW-Oshkosh's lone first-place finish went to Jaslyn Essman (Fr. • Burlington) in the floor exercise with a score of 9.15. She also ranked second on the vault with a mark of 9.225.
The Titans' Darlene Herrmann (Jr. • Newton, N.J.) finished second on the uneven bars with a score of 8.475 while placing sixth on the balance beam with a figure of 8.775.
UW-Oshkosh's Stacie Jenkins (So. • Peoria, Ariz.) finished third in the all-around competition with a sum of 33.775. That score included a fourth-place score of 8.45 in the floor exercise and a sixth-place mark of 8.075 on the uneven bars.
Right behind Jenkins in the all-around standings was UW-Oshkosh's Paula Delsart (So. • Green Bay) with 32.90 points. Delsart also finished third on the balance beam with a score of 9.00 and sixth on the vault with a mark of 8.95.

Titans A Close Second At Hamline University Triangular
 All three women's gymnastics teams were separated by just 2.425 points as UW-Stout finished ahead of UW-Oshkosh and Hamline University (Minn.) in a triangular held Saturday (Jan. 10) in St. Paul Minn.
UW-Stout won the meet with 173.60 points, while UW-Oshkosh placed second with 171.30 and Hamline University third with 171.175.
UW-Stout's Meghan Hargens took first place in the all-around competition with 36.775 points after winning the uneven bars and vault with scores of 9.40 and 9.375, respectively.
Hamline University owned the other two first-place finishers as Brynn Stenslie tallied 9.05 points on the balance beam while Kristen Weniger compiled 9.475 in the floor exercise.

She finished second in the all-around competition with 35.80 points, second in the floor exercise with 9.35, third on the uneven bars with 8.725 and fifth on both the vault and balance beam with 9.05 and 8.675, respectively.
The Titans' Mary Ann Oehlerking (Fr. • Hawthorn Woods, Ill.) turned in a strong performance by finishing second on the vault with a score of 9.15 and fourth in the all-around competition with a value of 33.15.
Paula Delsart (So. • Green Bay) and Gretchen Fackelman (Jr. • St. Louis, Mo.) added a pair of top-eight finishes for UW-Oshkosh. Delsart placed fourth on the balance beam with 8.70 points and sixth in the floor exercise with 9.05, while Fackelman listed sixth on the balance beam with 8.55 and eighth in the floor exercise with 8.90.
A pair of Titans tied for seventh on the vault as Chelsea Glory (Fr. • Garfield, Ark.) and Stefanie Armstrong (Jr. • Kennesaw, Ga.) compiled scores of 8.975. Darlene Herrmann (Jr. • Newton, N.J.) added to those accomplishments with a seventh-place figure of 8.45 on the balance beam.

Warhawks Tumble Past Titans In Season Opener
 Justine Weyer took part in five first-place finishes to lead the UW-Whitewater women's gymnastics team past UW-Oshkosh, 180.40-174.85, on Wednesday (Jan. 7) in Whitewater. It was the season opener for both squads.
Weyer took top honors on the balance beam with a score of 9.40, the uneven bars with a mark of 9.425 and the vault with a tally of 9.45. She also won the all-around competition with 37.80 points and tied UW-Oshkosh's Jaslyn Essman (Fr. • Burlington) for first place in the floor exercise with a score of 9.525.
