Lauren Karnitz is excited to begin her fifth season as UW-Oshkosh’s head women's gymnastics coach.

Karnitz has coached 13 student-athletes to the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship, including All-Americans Kelly Busacker, Stacie Jenkins and Mary Ann Oehlerking.

In her first season (2008), Karnitz had six Titans qualify for the national championship. She then sent four individuals to the NCGA competition during 2011. Karnitz guided UW-Oshkosh to fifth-place WIAC finishes in both 2009 and 2010.

Karnitz competed for the Titans from 2003-06. She earned All-WIAC honors in the floor exercise during 2004 and qualified for the floor exercise finals at the 2006 NCGA Championship.

In her second year as team captain, Karnitz helped UW-Oshkosh to a third-place finish at the 2006 NCGA Championship.

Karnitz resides in Neenah with her husband, Bruce, a former UW-Oshkosh baseball player. She is working on a master's degree of Education In College Counseling from UW-Oshkosh.
