Rau (Jr. Janesville) both repeated as selections on the All-WIAC
women's soccer team.
Gilbert, a three-time All-WIAC honoree, was
a midfielder for the Titans this past season after receiving NCAA Division
III All-America second team accolades as a defender a year ago. Rau was
a defender this past year after playing as a forward last season.
A total of 22 players were named to the 2002

Shootout Ends Season For Titans
 The UW-Oshkosh

kick shootout for the second consecutive year after the Blugolds advanced
past the Titans in the semifinals of the WIAC Tournament held Friday (Nov.

UW-Eau Claire (17-3-1) and UW-Oshkosh (10-10-1)
played to a 2-2 tie through two overtime periods before the Blugolds outscored
the Titans, 4-2, in the penalty kick shootout. UW-Eau Claire will now

on Saturday (Nov. 9) in Stevens Point.
Last year, also in the semifinals of the
WIAC Tournament, UW-Eau Claire advanced past UW-Oshkosh by outscoring
the Titans, 7-6, in the penalty kick shootout. Like Friday, the two teams
also played to a 2-2 tie through a pair of overtime periods.
UW-Eau Claire scored twice within a two-minute
span of the first half on Friday to take a 2-0 lead to intermission. The
Blugolds struck first when Sara Bahlmann scored her second goal of the
season at the 17:26 mark of the opening period. Shortly after, Kris Unterweger
tallied her 12th goal of the year for UW-Eau Claire by finding the back
of the net at the 19:34 mark.
UW-Oshkosh, which dropped a 1-0 decision
UW-Eau Claire on September 14, stormed back late in the second half to

its second shot, but UW-Eau Claire capitalized with a goal to make the
score 2-1.
UW-Oshkosh and UW-Eau Claire once again exchanged
goals to make the score 3-2, with Sarah Schnoebelen (Fr. Woodridge,
Ill.) finding the back of the net for the Titans. Following a save on
UW-Oshkosh's next scoring attempt, UW-Eau Claire clinched its right to
advance on Jullia Powell's goal.
UW-Eau Claire outshot UW-Oshkosh in the match,
28-21, and held a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks.

(Nov. 5) at a chilly Kolf Sports Center Complex to mark its third straight
victory in quarterfinal round play of the WIAC Tournament. The third-seeded

Titans Have Winning Streak End
The UW-Oshkosh women's soccer team yielded its first
goal in four matches and the result was a 1-0 loss to Elmhurst College
(Ill.) on Wednesday (Oct. 16) at the Kolf Sports Center Complex. The
setback snapped a three-match winning streak for the Titans, who previously
recorded shutout victories of 13-0 over UW-Superior, 2-0 over UW-La
Crosse and 3-0 over Coe College (Iowa). Elmhurst College (13-2), ranked ninth in the NCAA
