With just one losing season in seven years as head coach, Erin Coppernoll has made the UW-Oshkosh women’s soccer team a consistent winner.
Coppernoll, the school's all-time leader in coaching victories, owns a 74-52-12 record since being named the Titans' fifth head coach in 2004. Her 74 coaching wins rank sixth in WIAC history.
The 2010 campaign was the fifth winning season for Coppernoll as her squad went 9-8-1. UW-Oshkosh won six of its last seven regular-season matches to qualify for the WIAC Tournament. Forward Becca Blue and defender Nikki Reed earned all-conference recognition, while defender Steffanie Nagan was selected to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

enjoyed immediate success during Coppernoll’s first season at the helm as it compiled a school-record tying 15 victories (15-4-3 record), a third-place conference finish (5-1-2 record) and the school’s first appearance in the championship match of the WIAC Tournament.
In 2005, Coppernoll directed UW-Oshkosh to a 13-6-1 record, including a second-place WIAC finish (6-1-1 record). In 2006, she led the Titans to a 12-7-2 record, including a second-place WIAC finish (6-2 record) and the school’s first visit to the NCAA Division III Championship.
Following records of 9-9-1 in 2007 and 7-10-2 in 2008, UW-Oshkosh posted a 9-8-2 mark in 2009.
Coppernoll has coached four players to a total of six NCAA Division III all-region awards, including three-time honoree Michelle John (2004-07). A total of 18 All-WIAC plaques have been presented to Coppernoll’s players.
Prior to arriving at UW-Oshkosh, Coppernoll spent three seasons as the head women's soccer coach and director of intramural sports at North Park University (Ill.). She coached the Vikings to a 22-31-3 record, including a 10-9 mark in 2002.
Coppernoll’s first head collegiate coaching position was at Ripon College. Her only season at the school, the 1999 campaign, resulted in a 2-14 record for the Red Hawks. Coppernoll’s resume also includes assistant coaching positions at UW-Whitewater and Appleton East, Oshkosh West and Stevens Point high schools.
Coppernoll earned four varsity letters in soccer at Oshkosh West High School. She scored a school-record 62 goals during her prep career, including 17 in 1993 when she received all-state honors.
Coppernoll followed a stellar high school career by accepting a scholarship to play soccer at NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay. In 1993, she appeared in 16 matches, scored two goals and helped the Phoenix to a 13-4-2 record.
Coppernoll left UW-Green Bay after one season and transferred to UW-Stevens Point, where she played for the Pointers from 1994-96. At UW-Stevens Point, Coppernoll helped the Pointers to a 45-16-3 record (21-0-2 WIAC), two NCAA Division III postseason appearances and a pair of WIAC titles. She concluded her UW-Stevens Point career by totaling 78 points on 28 goals and 22 assists. Coppernoll received All-WIAC first team honors in 1996 and All-WIAC second team accolades in 1995.
Coppernoll has enhanced her coaching credentials by working soccer camps at Marquette University, North Park University, Northwestern University (Ill.), University of Florida, UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stevens Point. She is a member of the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship Committee and has served on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Regional Ranking Committee.
Coppernoll, who holds a United States Soccer Federation “C” license, received a bachelor's degree from UW-Stevens Point in 1998 and a master's degree from North Park University in 2003. In addition to coaching soccer at UW-Oshkosh, Coppernoll acts as the scheduling manager of the Oshkosh Sports Complex.
Coppernoll resides in Oshkosh with her husband, Steve, and two daughters, Rylee and Brynn.
